Washington, D.C.— Following the resounding primary victory for DAGA co-chair and District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (@DemocraticAGs) released the statement below from Executive Director Sean Rankin. Despite the 8,000 undervote in the uncontested Attorney General primary, Attorney General Racine received 9,000 more votes than any other Democrat in the primary.

“Congratulations to our co-chair and District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine and his campaign on the resounding primary performance. AG Racine is a trusted leader for the people of the District—and for people nationwide—and clearly the vote totals reflect that. As the co-chair of DAGA, Attorney General Racine plays a critical role in the unprecedented teamwork shown by Democratic Attorneys General in the Trump era. We look forward to seeing Attorney General Racine continue to use his office to better the lives of the people in the District and to hold those in power accountable. His work showcases exactly what it means to be the People’s Lawyer.”
