“Indiana Deserves Better”: Statement from the Democratic Attorneys General Association on Lawsuit Against Republican Attorneys General Association Vice Chairman Indiana AG Curtis Hill for Sexual Misconduct

June 19, 2019

Washington, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement from Executive Director Sean Rankin regarding the federal lawsuit filed yesterday by four women who have accused Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Vice Chairmen Indiana AG Curtis Hill of inappropriately touching them during a party last year.

Statement from Sean Rankin, Executive Director of the Democratic Attorneys General Association
:

“While four courageous women are standing up and demanding accountability, the Republican Attorneys General Association remains silent. It’s been 11 months and 17 days—and nothing. Nothing about their views on sexual misconduct, nothing on the allegations against their Vice Chairman Curtis Hill. These women deserve a response—and the people of Indiana deserve better. They deserve an AG they can trust. RAGA and Indiana AG Hill have failed Indiana women and families. We urge RAGA to step up and condemn any and all forms of unwanted physical contact, including allegations against their own ranks.”

Following the reports of allegations against Indiana AG Curtis Hill on in July 2019, DAGA released statements commending the strong women for sharing their stories, condemning sexual misconduct, and questioning RAGA’s silence on the issue.
